'); Sevilla goalkeeper attacked by pitch invader during Europa League tie
Marko Dmitrovic wrestled the pitch invader to the ground before stewards arrived to take the individual away.

Marko Dmitrovic, goalkeeper for Sevilla, was attacked by a fan during his team's Europa League game against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday. A fan ran onto the field in the match's closing moments and attempted to punch the Serbian keeper. Dmitrovic, having played for Charlton earlier in his career, managed to wrestle the intruder to the ground before security personnel showed up and handled it from there. Despite a 2-0 loss in the second leg of the play-off tie, Sevilla still continued with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Dmitrovic later spoke to reporters about the incident, saying “He came and pushed me from behind - probably mad about the result and a bit crazy already. He tried to hit me but I grabbed him until security came around. It’s never pleasant to witness this kind of behavior in football. It shouldn't happen and I hope these occurrences are heavily punished in future."
